In June last year, Yichen's drum cutter participated in the construction of Tianba Expressway slope grooving. The YD-10RD type drum cutter is installed on the XCMG 215 type excavator, and performs grooving according to the pre-drawn grid lines. The drum cutter completes the task very efficiently. The line it excavates is smooth, and the disturbance to the original soil of the slope is small, which avoids the occurrence of over-excavation and under-excavation.

In May 2022, the drum cutter once again assisted China's high-speed construction and participated in the slope grooving operation of Chongqing Wuyunkai Expressway. At the construction site of Yunyang Section in Yunyang County, Chongqing City, a Yichen YD-20RD drum cutter is assembled on a Sany SY235 excavator, and it is carrying out grooving operations with full firepower.

Compared with Tianba Expressway, the drum cutter used in this grooving operation is larger and more powerful. Wuyunkai Expressway is surrounded by mountains and rich in vegetation. There are inevitably a large number of deep excavation cuttings and high-filled embankment slopes along the whole line. In order to ensure the safe passage of the road, the slopes need to be protected. In order to prevent disturbance to the undisturbed soil of the slope, the slope should be precisely grooved. A drum cutter is an excellent device for this situation.

Wuyunkai Expressway starts from Wuxi County and ends at Houba, Kaizhou District, with a total length of 118.736 kilometers. The design speed of the whole line is 80 km/h, with two-way four-lane. After completion, it will greatly improve the transportation conditions of more than 3 million people in 14 townships along the line.
